Housed in the oldest standing farmhouse in Western Australia, the museum documents the lives of the region’s first European settlers. This rare building is of such great historical value the exhibition demanded a sensitive design that would allow the building to breath and become the main object in the collection, inviting quiet contemplation of the space.
The new fitout includes, interpretive panels, showcases, bespoke furniture, covers for existing archaeological scrapings, and exhibition lighting.
