AN EXHIBITION REFLECTING SCIENTIFIC, AESTHETIC, HISTORIC, SOCIAL, AND SPIRTUAL VALUES
The Wetlands Centre, Cockburn serves as an entrance to the Beeliar Regional Park, a flourishing conservation reserve established around two parallel chains of wetlands along the Swan Coastal Plain. It is situated in the suburb of Bibra Lake, 15 km south of the lively capital city of Western Australia, Perth.
The vision was to develop the Wetlands Centre into a pre-eminent venue for wetland education and wetland management in Western Australia. To bring this vision to fruition, the adopted strategy was to increase awareness of the wetlands to be appreciated and recognised by the local and state-wide community for their scientific, aesthetic, historic, social, and spiritual values.

Environmental Design Production + Installation
The exhibition design aimed to create an immersive and engaging experience that celebrates the rich and diverse environmental heritage of the Perth Wetlands. Drawing inspiration from the six Nyungar seasons and various unique aspects encompassing scientific, historical, cultural, and spiritual narratives, the display sought to connect visitors to Western Australia’s environmental heritage. Through this multi-layered approach, the Wetlands Centre Cockburn established a direct link to our shared cultural history and local identity, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the natural world around us.
